The Mécaniques Gravées is a time-only timepiece, but its true highlight lies in its intricate and ornate design featuring acanthus leaves. The acanthus leaves are prominently displayed on both the dial, and the bridges of the movement. The engraving, which spans almost the entire face, is only interrupted to reveal some of the mechanics of the caliber. The leaves are a Baroque style motif that have a rich history in architectural ornamentation, symbolizing victory and glory.
