When the name ‘Patek Phillipe’ arises in conversation, one would typically picture their artisanal wristwatches or pocket watches. For rarer models like dome clocks, the paradigm is the ones adorned with cloisonné enamel paintings. Yet, this dome clock is a member of the Rare Handcraft collection that evokes a slightly different tone, one of pure golden glamour and elegance. Made in collaboration with the French fine Crystal glassmaker, Baccarat, this timepiece’s construction is heavily inspired by their ornamental chandeliers. Each amber-colored crystal of the timepiece is individually cut and imbued with attention and detail - beveled diamonds for the main body, and rosettes for the dome and dial center. Breathing life to the reference, each piece is also perfected by hours of manual engraving by a recipient of title “Meilleur Ouvrier De France”, a designation that boasts the finest of French artisanship.
