The first chronograph produced by Officine Panerai traces back to 1943, the year in which the Mare Nostrum prototype was presented to the deck officers of the Italian Navy. The PAM 300 stands as a re-edition of the Mare Nostrum, made in the same case design and 52 mm size. The dial of the PAM00300 pays homage to the 1943 prototypes with precision. While the term "Radiomir" graces the 12 o’clock position, it harks back to the 1940s definition, denoting the luminous paint on the dial rather than the case design or model name. A stepped inner dial adds depth and visual interest. However, the movement's foundation was developed and produced by Minerva, an aspect Panerai took upon itself to dismantle, refine, and modify. This sets it apart from the original, which relied on the Angelus 215 manual winding chronograph movement
Offered complete with its full suite of accessories, this timepiece is a coveted addition to any discerning Panerist's collection.
