We are pleased to note that MB&F has graciously offered a complimentary movement service to the buyer within the first six months after the sale. The cost of shipping, new strap and any desired case work to be borne by the new owner. The new owner can either deliver the watch to an MB&F authorized dealer or contact MB&F directly for the service. The process may be different depending on the country of residence of the new owner, so MB&F requests the buyer contact them prior to submission. Once serviced, the watch will have an additional 2 year warranty.
MB&F, an independent Swiss watch brand founded by Max Busser, has consistently crafted timepieces that are groundbreaking and known to be futuristic and playful. Their Horological Machines transcend mere functionality, evolving into three-dimensional masterpieces of art and engineering for the wrist. From spacecraft-inspired creations to automotive-themed designs, and even animalistic motifs, MB&F's creations are a testament to imaginative ingenuity.
The HM9 'Flow,' introduced in 2018, drew inspiration from the Streamline Moderne design ethos that defined the aerodynamic aesthetics of planes and automobiles during the 1940s and 50s. In 2021, the HM9 Sapphire Vision emerged, showcasing a transparent case that offers a mesmerizing view of the intricate movement within. The feat of fitting sapphire crystal to the distinctive contours of the HM9 was no small achievement. Corundum, known as sapphire crystal, ranks among the hardest minerals, rendering it virtually scratchproof. However, shaping it into intricate three-dimensional forms presents a formidable challenge. The case, measuring 57 x 47 x 23 mm, seamlessly transforms into a single sapphire crystal, encased in either red or white gold. This innovative piece comprises a total of five sapphire crystals—three for the primary components of the hull, one to shield the dial, and another for the dial itself.
MB&F's distinctiveness extends beyond its creations, but also the unique willingness to openly acknowledge the individuals and companies pivotal in bringing these watches to life. Some of the ‘friends’ responsible for the HM9-SV include Aurélien Bouchet of AB Product, who meticulously crafted the case, and Alexandre Gros of Novo Crystal and SaphirWerk, who supplied the extraordinary sapphire crystals.
