Diego Giacometti’s “Bougeoirs” lamps exhibit the artist’s playful take on verisimilitude, creating electrified bronze table lamps that come across as traditional candlesticks. The present versions from the artist’s “Bougeoirs” series are particularly rare in that they are coated with a beautiful off-white paint. While Diego often favored brown and green patinas for his bronze furniture and lighting creations, he also occasionally used white paint, imparting the objects with a clean, sculptural presence that makes them all the more rare and desirable. The present pair of lamps represents a fantastic opportunity to acquire an exceptional version of this charming design.
