The poem on both screens was composed by the Qianlong Emperor and is published in Qing Gaozong Yuzhi Shiwen Quanji (5), vol. 3, juan 43, fig. 1. This poem celebrates the arrival of spring during the New Year, conveying the emperor's wish for another year of good harvest and prosperity for the people.
