6½-inch dial with rococo spandrels, matted centre with date aperture and signed on a recessed plaque James Ellicott, London, strike/silent dial in the arch, the fusee movement with verge escapement, trip repeat striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with an urn and foliate scrolls, the case with inverted bell top, brass carrying handle and cone finials, trellis door frets and moulded base with brass bracket feet
