[INSERT HEADLINE]

Containing 24 items total, this lot represents some of the earliest moment's of DJ Shadow's long career. There are 19 show flyers, all from the early to mid '90s and most predating his seminal 'Endtroducing' LP. Highlights include several flyers from his first tour of Japan, where he was joined by DJ Krush, Mo' Wax label boss James Lavelle, and NYC graffiti legend Futura 2000; early UK and European regional dates; and Stateside shows with A Tribe Called Quest and Jurassic 5. Also included is an unused laminate from the 1995 'Headz' tour, a ticket from his first Hong Kong show, and a rare promotional booklet produced by Toy's Factory, the Japanese licensee of Mo' Wax. These materials were all collected and saved by DJ Shadow himself, often stashing them in record boxes and suitcases.

Last but certainly not least, the lot includes two extremely rare original flyers which accompanied Shadow's notorious 'Hip-Hop Reconstruction' tapes from 1991, including the image that complemented his Source Magazine feature in the 'Unsigned Hype' column. Boasting artwork by frequent collaborator The 8th Wonder and printed on card stock, Shadow estimates that no more than 30 were produced of either flyer. Condition of items in the lot varies from good to mint, with the average being fine to very fine.
