Description

NIKE, NIKE DUNK HIGH PREMIUM SB, SIZE 9

Rubber, Leather, Cotton, Suede

2010

The Nike Dunk High Pro SB 'Skunk' sample, created in 2010, comes from a collaboration between Nike SB and San Francisco-based skate shop, Skunk. The pair was designed by skate artist and graphic designer, Todd Bratrud, and sports a green and purple fuzzy, suede upper. Additionally, this pair is marked sample at the sock liner and has Todd Bratrud’s signature featured on the lateral midsole. Compared to the wider release, a key difference to this sample is the use of a smooth suede on the Swoosh.

The Nike SB Dunk made its formal debut in 2002 when Nike officially reappropriated the famed Dunk basketball sneaker originally designed in the 1980s with upgrades suited for the skateboarding community. The man behind it, former Nike executive Sandy Boedecker, is credited with building one of Nike’s most beloved subdivisions in the early 2000s with the Nike SB line.
