Freddie Mercury's backstage vest, 'Live Aid', 13 July 1985
A yellow cotton vest, the front printed in blue with a cowboy on a bucking horse, with an indecipherable word drawn with the cowboy’s lasso, with Japanese care label inside to lower side seam; seen in photographs by Richard Young of Freddie relaxing backstage with Elton John and Wayne Sleep at ‘Live Aid’, Wembley Stadium, 13 July 1985
Only two pieces of clothing positively identified with Queen’s momentous contribution to Live Aid are included in this sale, this vest and another in the previous lot, worn for Queen’s rehearsals at the Shaw Theatre, Euston Road, London.
