Freddie Mercury’s scarves and neck ties
A collection of five scarves and three neck ties, various colours, patterns and fabrics, comprising: a large silk square of black and white abstract patterned silk, made by Diana Moseley, but not used in, the ‘I’m Going Slightly Mad’ video, 1991; a midnight blue silk evening scarf with red and green abstract pattern, labelled ‘Georgina von Etzdorf’ (with original tag attached – see Lot CQ7RS for the corresponding bow tie); a turquoise and white polka dot scarf with turquoise fringes, with Japanese label; a double-thickness ivory silk evening scarf with self-paisley pattern, unlabelled; and a fine wool scarf woven in two shades of grey, labelled ‘Saint Laurent / rive gauche’; and three neck ties, one of pale lemon with small blue diamond-shaped design, labelled ‘Theros’; one of ivory satin labelled ‘Social’ and one of hand-painted silk in hues of orange, yellow and grey in an abstract design, signed in black ink ‘EVAT’
