Located in Montilla-Moriles, Toro Albalá is widely regarded as one of the greatest producers in Spain, and stands alone as a specialist in single vintage, cask aged Pedro Ximénez wines. Founded in 1844, Toro Albalá has an impressive cellar of highly rated wines spanning current releases back to pre-War era wines from the 1930’s and before.

Toro Albalá’s “Convento Selección” designation is reserved for wines that have aged for generations in amontillado butts. Held back for decades and offered in very small quantities, these wines present a unique opportunity to experience a piece of history. Offered as a set of six distinct vintages, only 51 of these specialty cases have been released.

1934 L. Opimio – Only 604 bottles produced

Only a single barrel of this wine has survived to this day, and it is among the rarest gems that has been offered from the cellars of Toro Albalá.
