Cabernet Sauvignon 57%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 13%. In 2022, violets, heather and cherries on the nose - lift off! Super luscious, super silky on the palate - this is mega opulence twinned with Lafite finesse, breed and then that hedonistic charge for the finish. As it develops in the glass, the black fruit intensifies. I 'got' the wine and the vintage on our 45th wedding anniversary - I must be improving! And, more important, the wine itself could make its century, in true Lafite fashion.
