The vineyards of the small family-run Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy are classically run. It's five generations that have worked at this domaine with Gérard turning over more and more of the winemaking to his son, Philippe, with he and Martine in support. Mr. Harmand is sometimes nicknamed "Mr. Violet" after the distinctive, if subtle, aromas of violet, present in several of his wines. Most of the vines are quite old (40 years and more).
