Vintage started 5th October (16.5 hl/ha) Deep brown - like a Barolo! Nose rather dead and flat in comparison to others - but compact and concentrated; will open out - cabbage and truffles. Later - has opened out - now superb and well projected. Cairo spice market! Lovely rich taste, especially middle - just a bit dry at the finish. Like a walnut liqueur. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
