Surprisingly, the annual calendar is a modern invention. It was first introduced by Patek Philippe in the 1990’s. Very few horological brands have mastered it. One of them is Cartier. In 2012, they introduced the Rotonde Annual calendar. The watch is powered by the innovative calibre 9908MC.
The watch cleverly displays the date through the twin apertures at 12, the day and the month are indicated with two discreet hands with bright red flat top. The model has different dial layers to keep the watch easy to read.
