The Huitième, French for eighth, was the exclusive line of Audemars Piguet in the 1980’s and 1990’s. This 25644 has a 40mm case diameter, which was considered as oversized at the time and makes it perfect to be enjoyed with today’s standards. It is powered by the 2126 calibre based on the JLC calibre 889 paired with a Dubois Dépraz module. It is still today considered as a very high quality movement.
Several versions of the 25644 were issued, this present one being the most attractive with the reserve panda dial as opposed to the plein silvered dial. Furthermore, it has the calibrated bezel and not the one with the large engraved signature.
