Rolex Datejust, the Reference 16013 was produced between 1977 and 1988.
It was the last Datejust model to feature a plexiglass and was fitted with the new 3035, introducing the quickset function for the date. As such, it offers the perfect blend between the vintage look and modern improvements.
The model was presented with a large selection of different dials, making it particularly exciting to hunt. This present example, made during the last part of the production period of the model, is fitted with an attractive black dial with diamond-set indexes. Combined with the very well-preserved two-tone case and jubilee bracelet, it perfectly captures the aesthetic of the 1980's.
