Produced between 1942 and 1963, the Reference 4062 was made in different metals, including stainless steel, yellow and pink gold as well as some two-tone versions, such as the present lot.

While chronographs are usually associated with sporty designs, this model, with its teardrop lugs, rectangular pushers and coin-edge band would today be considered as a dressier watch. Its 36mm diameter and slim case makes it particularly elegant and enjoyable to wear.

Both the inscriptions and scales on the dial, as well as the engraved Coronet and serial numbers on the case back remain easy to read, proving that the watch has been retained in attractive condition.

Interestingly, it features a French dial, with the “chronographe” and the “antimagnetique” and the movement is engraved “Fab Suisse”, standing for “Fabriqué en Suisse”, demonstrating that the piece was made for exportation.
