Girard Perregaux has been manufacturing watches since 1791, making them one of the oldest watchmakers in Switzerland. With a focus on haute horology, they are renowned for their unique bridge design, and their tourbillion models. The present reference 9930 happens to showcase both of those famous elements. Utilizing the case from their now-discontinued Richeville line of watches, the watch is fashioned in white gold with a silver hand guilloche dial with Roman Numeral indices. The centerpiece is the signature mirror polished bridge with a tourbillion cage. The dial proudly proclaims this watch as ‘Numero 2’, with the case back also stating its ‘No. 2’ status. A seldom seen reference from one of the last few large, independent watchmakers in Switzerland.
