Dom Ruinart, Rosé 2004
Good level and appearance; Bon niveau et apparence
Disgorged in February 2016, with a low dosage of 4.5 g/l. The 19% Pinot Noir red wine in this comes from Sillery. In 2017, the colour veers towards a topaz sunset. This is a lovely, Chardonnay-based rosé, with really good quality Pinot Noir and the finesse of 2004. Indian spices permeate both bouquet and flavour, with turmeric and fenugreek and then kumquat and a glorious brut finish with a flavour of mandarins. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
