Dramatic selection for the grand vin produced this quality. Glorious nose of real breed and reach. Really glossy, rich, ripe wine showing the brilliance of both terroir and winemaking. The wine of the vintage for me. At 6 years old, this had a really complex nose of Cabernet Sauvignon intensity - not surprising, as the percentage in the wine was 90.5%. This collection spans the 1980s to 2010 and is in truly excellent condition, testament to the quality of the meticulously maintained underground climate-controlled storage. All bought from Sotheby's Wine Department in London, it includes such gems as Lafite 1998 in Imperial, a case of Haut Brion 2000 in bottle and a multi-format Superlot of Pichon Baron 2010.
