Gold, enamel and diamond presentation snuff box, Meister, 1970s

Octagonal box in the style of an Imperial Russian presentation case. Lid decorated with a central crowned medallion containing the Cyrillic cypher ‘N II’ in reference to the cypher or Tsar Nicolas II, white guilloché enamel, circular-cut diamonds, on a blue enamel ground enhanced with Louis XVI-style garlands and rosaces, circular-cut diamonds, maker’s mark for Meister, measuring approximately 95 x 60 x 25mm.
