The reference 1675 GMT was introduced in 1959 and stayed in continuous production until 1980 making it one of the longest produced references in Rolex’s history. Initially launched with a two-tone red and blue bezel insert (nicknamed the ‘Pepsi’ bezel) to enable the wearer to differentiate day and night, In the early 1970s Rolex introduced an all-black bezel insert which even though may seem less practical, is more discreet and rarer than the ‘Pepsi’ version.

What makes the present lot so special is that it's not only a 'full set', but it also comes with a second bezel insert, the 'Pepsi' version. The dial, hour markers and hands have all aged at a consistent rate to a warm pumpkin color.
