The present watch is an entry point to collecting vintage Heuer watches but also to collecting vintage chronographs in general. The 'N' in the reference number of this Heuer Carrera stands for 'noire' and refers to the clean all-black dial. The dark-dialed Carreras are much rarer than the ones with 'S' with stands for 'standard' and refers to silver or white.
Sotheby's is honored to offer the collection of a former race car driver with proceeds benefiting an initiative to support children of refugees in Germany.
Other lots from this collection of 12 watches are: 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119 and 120 of this auction.
