Designed in the 1930s for two Portuguese merchants, IWC's Portugieser had the vision of bringing a pocket watch's precision onto the wrist. Today, it is one of the most recognized collections from the brand from its sophisticated design and wearability. In 2008 the Regulateur Tourbillon was launched in a limited number of 100 pieces only, blending in profound technicality with this classic collection. Collectors would be amused by its contrasting grey and white coloured scheme on the regulator dial, along with the railway track and tourbillon at 9 o'clock, makes it extremely dressy and suitable for important events.
