Cantenac (Margaux), 3ème Cru Classé

49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot. This was the first year that Palmer was 100% biodynamic-farmed. On the nose, so much fruit it is like a bunch of flowers. A big, inky mouthful on the palate with very brambly flavours. The fruit has such beautiful clarity, I think deriving from the biodynamic element, with such a signature of berries. An epic collection, starting with all the First Growths, followed by a generous selection of Super Seconds and other Classed Growth claret. This is counterbalanced by important parcels from Rostaing, Jaboulet, Marc Sorrel, Chapoutier, Beaucastel and Paul Avril, together with an impressive selection of Rioja and stored in climate-controlled, professional storage.

-         to an address in London: £35 for the first 10 cases, plus £10 for any additional case, plus VAT and Sotheby’s Transit Care cover;

-         to a UK address outside of London (excluding Ireland and Scotland): £45 for the first 10 cases, plus £10 for any additional case, plus VAT and Sotheby’s Transit Care cover.
