Set of Two | Nike Challenger ‘Hawaii’ Samples | Size 9

The Nike Challenger, introduced in the early 1970s, marked a significant milestone in the evolution of athletic footwear. Designed as a versatile running shoe, the Challenger featured a cushioned midsole for enhanced comfort and a durable outsole for optimal traction. 

Offered in this lot are two Nike Challenger samples that pay homage to Phil Knight’s time in Hawaii. Dressed in predominantly white uppers, the pairs feature Orange Swooshes and a pattern reminiscent of passport stamps. The pairs feature additional Hawaii-inspired nods on the tongue labels, heel tabs, and insoles. 

A Salesman sample and a Promo sample, the pairs feature unique differences from one another. 

Samples are sneakers made by the manufacturer either for promotional purposes or for testing various aspects of a design. They are far rarer than the general release pairs.
