Nike SB Dunk High Pro ‘Mafia’ Sample | Size 9

In 2006, Nike released the Italian Collection pack, which included a black Nike SB Dunk Low and a white Nike SB Dunk High. 

This Nike SB Dunk High ‘Mafia’ features a white patent leather upper, with an intricately designed Team Red Swoosh and contrasting gold stitching. Playing with themes of superstition and luck, the pair incorporated an Italian Horn or Corno on the rear lace loop to ward off the evil eye.

Expanding on the narrative, an apparel collection was dropped in tandem with the release, including a peacoat, knit polo, tracksuit, and bottle of wine. 

Exceptionally rare, this Nike SB Dunk High ‘Mafia’ sample features subtle differences compared to the wider release. Most notably, the sample features a light blue tongue tag with an image reminiscent of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. This detail was later scrapped from the final release. 

The pair comes with a sample hangtag that has been detached. The sample hangtag features the completion date “2005/09/02”.
