Description
NIKE, NIKE DUNK HI, SIZE 12
Rubber, Leather, Cotton
2003
These custom 'Orchard Street' Dunks are best remembered for their infamous drop. In 2003, Greig Bennett, co-founder of the streetwear brand Orchard Street, coordinated a release of customized St. Johns, and Brazil Dunks, which were placed across New York City, positioned on street lamps and traffic lights. Though not an explicit collaboration with Nike, dedicated sneakerheads were committed enough to scale these heights to secure them.
Orchard Street modified 40 pairs of the Dunk Hi 'Brazil' into a custom colorway. Each shoe was reworked into orange, green, and black. A portion of the rear flaps were carved out to let the orange pop and the tongue labels were reversed. The box denotes this pair as 29/40.
Due to their incredibly limited quantities and the exclusive nature of their release, these are some of the most sought-after custom Dunks in circulation.
