Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium by Mark Smith | Size 11

Over his 20-year career with Nike, Mark Smith has been a part of some of the company's most interesting and successful ventures. Arguably, one of the most memorable came in 2002 when Smith joined Nike’s Innovation Kitchen after a brief hiatus - working on bringing Nike’s new laser technology to the sneaker market. Utilizing the newly introduced laser, Nike released the 2003 Nike Laser Pack. 

Offered in this lot is a limited sample of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium by Mark Smith. Limited to just 200 pairs, the pair features a British Khaki colored upper, with engraving details throughout.

A nod to the art of tattooing, each pair of the Nike Air Force 1 Mark Smith was unlike the others. Despite following the same computerized calculations and waypoints, it was the leather – or skin – of the shoe that gave it an individual persona. 

The right shoe features a laser-cut piece of leather with "11" inscribed on its outward face. The left shoe has a hanging tag, that says "ONE OF 200 PRODUCED", proclaiming its rarity.  

The packaging was as deliberate as the shoes it contained, featuring tattooed graphics on the slide-out box and a microfiber cloth.
