The stools were designed by Gio Ponti for the Macchi- Mazzuchelli's residence in Gallarate (Milan) which he furnished in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
The lot is sold together with a certificate of expertise from the Gio Ponti Archives, Milan, Italy.
