with gadroon rims with shells and acanthus at angles, the conforming covers with twin-lion handles and engraved with arms, the dishes crested, the handles circa 1830, marked throughout, one numbered 1, the other numbered 2 and 3

The arms are those of Scott of Lytchett Minster, Co. Dorset, with Eyre in pretense for Sir Claude Scott, 1st baronet., eminent banker co. Westminster, 1742-1830, and his wife Martha, only child of John Eyre of Stepney, Middlesex, whom he married in 1767; she died in 1831.
