A Pair of Bohemian Ruby Overlay Baluster Vases, Late 19th Century

the neck, shoulder and foot deeply cut with stylized leaf-head bands and facets, reserving an elaborate foliate scroll gilding, with raised opaque-white oval panels painted with either two children with garlands of fruit or flowers, and a young girl as shepherdess with a lamb, alternating with panels of flowers reserved on white, above a raised band of stiff-leaf in white embellished with further gilding.
