decorated by Alboin Birks, incised AB monogram, in Japonisme taste, reserved with two shaped panels in either a chocolate brown or pale blue-ground, decorated in white slip showing Venus and Cupid respectively, within an olive green-ground edge,on a gilt oeil de perdrix pattern-ground, the cavetto with a raised-gilt band of vined leaves, crowned globe Mintons marks in gold, impressed MINTONS marks, letter I, symbol, date code symbol for 1885, gilt letter K
