Alaska — your journey begins with your arrival to Sitka, one of Alaska's most scenic villages. This historic site witnessed the Alaska Purchase transfer ceremony, ceding the territory from Russia to the United States on October 18, 1867.

Simply amazing, Sitka is located on the west side of Baranof Island, which partially forms the outer coast of the famous Inside Passage. Stretching 500 miles along the Pacific Ocean, the Passage was shaped by massive glaciers millions of years ago. It boasts wildlife-filled fjords, tidewater glaciers and lush island scenery. The Tongass National Forest — the largest national forest in the United States and the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world — covers the vast majority of the Inside Passage.

Your trip will take place during the premium King Salmon fishing dates of June 10 to 14, 2024. Hosted by B Cellars co-founder Duffy Keys, his wife Judy and Talon Lodge owners Gwen and Phil Younger, this adventure provides two couples a stunning getaway to a place where expectations have gone wild. Included in this lot is round-trip air from the Continental US to Sitka, deluxe accommodations at the Lodge, private ground and boat transfers, off-island trips and all meals created under the watchful eye of Talon's talented culinary team.

Lodge staff will welcome you at the airport, then transfer you by boat to private Apple Island, the location of the luxurious and intimate Talon Lodge. Once settled, you'll enjoy a welcome vintner dinner accompanied by Gwen, Phil, Judy and Duffy. Over the next three days, you'll revel in guided excursions unveiling the magnificence of Alaska. On return to the Lodge each afternoon, relax as you wish or enjoy a massage and related spa treatments.

Days one and two feature ocean-water fishing for salmon and halibut. Your private boat will be completely provisioned and regardless of your fishing skill level, your experienced Captain and deckhand will be happy to assist. Day three offers an all-terrain guided visit to Kruzof Island; experience its black-sand beaches and volcanic outcroppings, all formed by the island's stratovolcano, Mount Edgecumbe. Day four begins the journey home.

And finally, at a time of mutual convenience during 2023 or 2024, B Cellars Chef de Cuisine extends a warm invitation for both couples to join his culinary garden table to experience our Expedition wine and food pairing — it's one of the Chef's many passions!
