A late George III mahogany draughtsman's desk, early 19th century, attributed to Gillows


the adjustable double-ratcheted top with a later red and gilt-tooled leather surface, the drawers and panels with cock-beading and brass drop handles, the front frieze drawer opening to reveal a series of six ebonised oak and holly-strung partitions with hinged lids labelled alphabetically on holly panels, flanked by three drawers to each side, the reverse with dummy drawers and panels, on concealed castors
