12-inch silvered dial with annular minutes enclosing subsidiary seconds dial with astronomer's marks and an hours dial, signed Barwise, London, the massively built movement with six double screwed pillars to the arched plates, deadbeat escapement with jewelled pallets, maintaining power, very high count five wheel train, screwed chatons to every available pivot, the mercury pendulum with glass jar, beat adjustment and adjustable counterweight on the crutch, silvered beat plaque, the case with arched top, glazed trunk door, panelled plinth and moulded base, inlaid throughout with ebony stringing,
