A Pair Of Tall Silver Pricket Candlesticks, Probably German, Late 17th Century
on three claw and ball feet, the triform bases embossed and chased with winged cherub heads above ribbon-suspended shells on matted ground, multi-baluster stems rising from urns chased with cherub heads linked by swags and rising to bulbous sconces applied with cherub heads with chased wings also linked by swags, all with bands of chased and partly applied acanthus, detachable drip-pans with silver prickets, apparently unmarked but both with numerous assay scrapes
