the cover chased with a ribbon-tied bouquet of summer flowers and leaves on sablé ground, the surfaces engine-turned within chased running borders of roses, the sides with four chased foliate pendants, maker’s mark struck inside base and on cover, imitation of the Paris charge mark of Julien Alaterre
