Barbezat-Bôle SA was founded in Le Locle in 1875 by Henri Barbezat Bôle (1851-1921). The firm specialized in complication watches, especially repeaters; they also created richly decorated watches for the Indian market, including watches with enamel painted portraits by the famous miniaturist, J. Graff (see: E. Jaquet, A. Chapuis, Technique and History of the Swiss Watch, Hamlyn, 1970, plates 132-133). Barbezat-Bôle later purchased the firm of Paul Buhre, becoming, by 1930, Paul Buhre & Henri Barbezat Bôle SA (see: K. Pritchard, Swiss Timepiece Makers, Phoenix, pp. B-14 & B-130).
Heineger Y Achmann were retailers in the Columbian city of Medellín. In 1910 the firm's stationery noted their specialisms as: Relojeria Suiza, Articulos de Lujo, Joyeria Fina (Swiss watches, luxury goods and fine jewellery).
