Description

Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises, Blanc de Noirs 1988

Excellent level and appearance, packed in presentation owc; Excellent niveau, et apparance, emballée en caisse bois d'origine

Colour, as always, a deeper gold than Bollinger Grande Anneé - but these are the ungrafted vines. Heady, bread and honey, very winey, even yeasty nose. Very orangey taste, full and rich ( but dry, of course). It can take those classic, rich dishes like Lobster Newburg or Thermidor - names from the past but still an occasional treat. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

1 bt (owc)

A fine collection of brilliant French vineyards featuring sought after Burgundy bottles of Domaine Leroy and Armand Rousseau, Coche Dury and Roumier. Other highlight include a fantastic array of Champagne with Salon, Selosse, and RD Bollinger from the 1970s and 1980s. All with perfect provenance
