The Fortuna stamp also occurs on a binding in the British Library (Davis Gift 799), though without the dolphin. The Fugger Binder also worked for Cardinal Perrenot de Granvelle, for whom he made a very similar binding (but without the Fortuna stamp) on another copy of Cicero, De Officiis, 1545 (Davis Gift 800).

4to (216 x 135 mm). Italic type, 39 lines plus headline. collation: *-**⁸ a-k⁸ l⁴ m-z⁸ A-G⁸ H¹⁰: 262 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device on title-page. (Lacking *2, *6, **7 and quires F-H, a few wormholes in text, occasional slight damp-staining or browning.)

binding: Contemporary Venetian morocco gilt (222 x 147 mm.), by the Fugger Binder, covers with a frame of a single gilt fillet and numerous blind fillets with gilt fleuron at corners, in center a gilt stamp of Fortuna on a dolphin, lettered MAR. TUL. CIC. RHET. on upper cover, blind tooling in spine compartments, plain edges, stubs from four pairs of ties. (Binding rather worn, corners and head of spine defective.)
