Arabic manuscript on paper, 485 leaves, plus 1 fly-leaf, 9 lines to the page, the text written in naskh in black ink divided into two sections alternating with 3 lines of muhaqqaq, ruled in gold, black and blue, verses separated by gold roundels with blue dots, surah headings in white thuluth on gold and blue illuminated panels, khams and 'ashr marked by marginal inscriptions in gold 'eastern' Kufic, juz' marked by marginal inscriptions in naskh in red and black ink, the opening bifolium illuminated in gold and polychrome, in gilt stamped brown leather binding, brown leather doublures
