Jacqueline Kennedy
Autograph manuscript signed ("me"), an illustrated poem entitled "Christmas." [New York], 1937
1 page (262 x 200 mm). Pen and colored pencil on 4-hole punch paper, decorated with sprigs of holly and headed by depiction of Santa Claus and his reindeer; few faint spots and short tears. Matted, framed, and glazed with Plexiglas with a black-and-white portrait of Jackie, and a metal plaque; not examined out of frame.
A charming Christmas poem accomplished by the eight-year old Jackie, and gifted to her mother. In full:
"Christmas is coming—
Santa Claus is near
Reindeer hoofs will soon be drumming
On the rooftops — loud and clear
The Shops are filled with people
Santa is coming down —
And everybody's merry
In such a busy town.''
