A pair of Louis XVI grey-painted and two-tone-gilded mirrors, circa 1780


each with shell-centred dolphin-carved crestings, the frames intricately carved with ribbon-tied posies of flowers, with fleurs-de-lys to the corners, the oval plates with beaded surrounds, with pierced mirror-backed spandrels to the corners carved with further ribbon-tied posies, the lower edges carved with wheatsheaves and trophies of a bow and quiver, the decoration refreshed
