Description
Château La Conseillante 1996
Pomerol
Excellent levels and appearance tissue wrapped; Excellents niveaux et apparence, emballées dans du papier de soie
In 2018, incredible blackberry nose, richly scented, spicy and then a kick of smoky blackcurrants. On the palate, spiced, plummy Merlot - real glühwein. What an extraordinary wine from Pomerol in 1996, which so favoured the Cabernet Sauvignon on the Left Bank. Meaty and yet soft, luscious and yet fresh. And you end on a truly aromatic note which is, truly, all its own i.e. a clear product of its terroir. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
