CONCEPT OF ARTWORK
The ‘Tiger’, a cultural & spiritual icon from time immemorial is referenced as the largest wild cat. Over-hunted, this critically endangered animal needs protection. In the year 2022, the world’s attention focuses on the Tiger, as it is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. This inevitably would be the most appropriate time to bring attention to the current population of tigers which is near extinction. “XingXing” is painted in celebration with 2022 stars. This nocturnal animal brings in light in darkness with its arrival, creating an awareness with its presence.
