Provenance:

A TIMELESS CONTINENTAL CELLAR OF GLORIOUS TROPHIES

THE PROPERTY OF A FAMILY OF OENOPHILE, THIS SPECTACULAR COLLECTION HAS BEEN AMASSED OVER 50 YEARS BY TWO GENERATIONS OF CONNOISSEURS. ALL THE WINES WERE PURCHASED CAREFULY EITHER FROM ESTABLISHED WINE MERCHANTS OR DIRECTLY AT THE DOMAINES OR CHATEAUX AND STORED IMPECCABLY IN THE CELLARS OF THE OWNERS.

THIS IS A SUBLIME CELLAR TO EXCITE THE MOST DISCERNING TASTES. THE COLLECTION COVERS THREE CENTURIES FROM 1831 TO 2000 WITH A FORMIDABLE AMOUNT OF SOME OF THE WORLD’S GREATEST NAMES OF BORDEAUX, SAUTERNES AND BURGUNDY AND OTHER REGIONS ALSO INCLUDED. THE CURRENT OWNER AND HIS LATE FATHER WERE BOTH AVID COLLECTOR OF WINES FROM THE LATE 19TH TO EARLY-MID 20TH CENTURY AND THIS PERIOD IS PARTICULARLY WELL REPRESENTED WITH GLORIOUS TROPHIES OF FIRST-CLASS GROWTH BORDEAUX INCLUDING RARE MAGNUMS FROM LAFITE 1887 TO HAUT BRION 1947 AND LATOUR 1961. THE COLLECTION IS FURTHER DISTINGUISHED BY A SUBLIME SELECTION OF SAUTERNES WITH AWE-INSPIRING 19TH CENTURY RARITIES SUCH AS YQUEM 1831 AND 1965. TO COMPLETE THIS VOYAGE THROUGH TIME, THE COLLECTION ALSO INCLUDES VINOUS TREASURES FROM BURGUNDY WITH RARELY SEEN VINTAGES FROM THE LATE 40S TO THE EARLY 80S.  THE COLLECTION INCLUDES THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER DOMAINES SUCH AS DOMAINE DE LA ROMANEE CONTI WITH A RARE OFERING OF GEMS SUCH AS RICHEBOURG 1947 “En Magnum” PLUS ARMAND ROUSSEAU, DE VOGUE, JAYER OR MAISON LEROY, WITH SOME EVEN STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL CARTONS.
