painted with various overlapping playing cards, within a grotesque border, brown edged-rim, the reverse inscribed I M 26' dag/ A I 730

Diameter 13 3/4 in.

Overall in good general appearance.

Some typical glaze loss to rim edge. 

Approximately 80% of the grotesque band at the rim with spray. This appears to be covering several small flat chips to painted decoration, some of which have been colour-filled. When viewing the underside of the charger the material is in tact. 

Minor typical surface scratching and wear.

An English Delftware polychrome plate of this type, circa 1750, attributed to Lambeth High Street was in the Syd Levethan Collection, sold at Christie's, New York, June 11, 2010, lot 1148, illustrated in Leslie B. Grigsby, The Longridge Catalogue, 2000, Vol. II, D179.
